Anita Lanier answered 2021-07-13 15:42:38 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: Obamacare/ACA is a huge pain for a small business owner such as myself and for any self employed person. The ACA punishes earning over $64,999 if you are on the exchange and have “subsidized” insurance, but paying out of pocket for decent health insurance can cost upwards of $900-1500 A MONTH for a middle aged couple. We keep our earnings right on the edge and make contributions to our IRAs at years end. We do not want to be fined for the balance of our “subsidy” should our income be over the limit, but we save for that possibility. As self-employed people we cannot predict how much we will make every year. It’s insane to expect us to do so. The ACA has an outsize influence on my prosperity consciousness. I do NOT want to spend the equivalent of a car purchase on an annual basis for health insurance nor do I wish to go uninsured. My liberal friends and family who have public and corporate jobs DO NOT GET how screwed up the ACA has been for small business owners. We are lucky to be very healthy. My heart goes out to business owners who have family with significant health issues. I can only surmise that the government hates small business owners and wish to see us bankrupt and dependent on the state.

Douglas Orton answered 2021-07-10 23:45:15 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: State regulations & licensure are unjust, statutes in general work against normal interactions and should be repealed to allow common law to govern us locally, taxation is theft and should be fully ended, the state (i.e., federal, state, county, municipal, etc.) is mostly unaccountable and deadly in all its interactions and should be ended little by little, state employees need real jobs which will create real wealth for society, everything good and decent in the world is more expensive and more difficult to accomplish because of the state’s involvement and existence. Life is hard enough without an unaccountable entity with legislated rights to murder anyone arbitrarily.

John Ketchum answered 2021-07-09 15:11:02 -0700Q: What are your top issues?
A: Well, properly speaking, an issue is a proposition of the form “whether p or not-p” in accordance with the law of excluded middle, where “p” represents some simpler proposition. Since, according to a test I took at theadvocates.org (The Advocates for Self-Government), I’m an anarchist, I suppose the top issue for me would be whether government should exist or not. But if I were a limited government advocate, my top issue would be whether government should violate moral rights or not.

John Ketchum answered 2021-07-09 14:55:18 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: The economy is recovering from a government-induced recession caused primarily by the lockdowns. The stock market should be booming. But I find the market performance disappointing. I suspect Biden’s economic policies are partly to blame. I’ve received a lot less in stimulus payments than I should have made in the market. I would have preferred to do without both the payments and the economic policies.

A: Dude, that’s the phone book. Destroying the currency, normalizing lawlessness, infringing on the right to assemble, move, and conduct commerce. Also, disenfranchisement and infringing on gun ownership.

James George answered 2021-07-09 13:30:03 -0700Q: What are your top issues?
A: Education, only because it’s becoming clear how poisonous it has been to the foundations of liberty. That and it’s something we can actually take control of. One covid white pill, the notion of NOT sending kids to a factory became imaginable in 2020. “Pods” may have opened the door to the idea that you can homeschool your children.
-
James George answered 2021-07-09 13:27:22 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: Federally? Monetary policy.
State wide? Licensing and regulation
Locally (Las Vegas)? WTF is going on with car dealers being closed on sundays??

Carmen Prater answered 2021-07-09 10:11:16 -0700Q: What are your top issues?
A: Education freedom. Criminal justice reform. Term limits. End the FED. Corporate control of federal government. Taxes.
-
Carmen Prater answered 2021-07-09 10:06:25 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: The Department of Education drains our school system funding to use to make up worthless programs such as standardized testing. Because NV schools can’t provide my son with Specific Learning Disabilities education approaches recommended by experts for his issues, I have to pay to send him to a private school that can. So essentially, I’m paying for his education twice. Once via taxes & twice on my own. If public school can’t do the job, then I want my money back so I can use it to get him the education he needs.

Mike Wells answered 2021-07-09 09:56:37 -0700Q: What are your top issues?
A: Federal abuse of power and overeach.
-
Mike Wells answered 2021-07-09 09:55:26 -0700Q: How is the government making life harder for you?
A: Seven years ago, the Federal Government unlawfully invaded my finances and overtly destroyed my personal and professional reputations. Today, I’m the Plaintiff in a lawsuit against the Federal Government to stop their actions against me. The U.S. Attorney has acted to string this lawsuit out claiming the DCIA of 1996 grants Federal Agencies omnipotent authority over all matters dealing with money and property, therefore making Federal agencies imune from all law.
