Libertarian and Conservative organizations, speakers and lawmakers team up to counter Obama’s Clean Energy Summit by providing free market solutions to clean affordable energy in United States.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, August 23, 2015 – The Libertarian Party of Nevada (LPNevada), the fastest growing political party providing common sense solutions to major issues with The Heartland Institute announces the Affordable Energy Summit 8.0.

The Affordable Energy Summit 8.0 was organized to discover solutions to the litany of mandates, regulations, subsidies, and bureaucratic overreach proposed by the National Clean Energy Summit 8.0. The Affordable Energy Summit will discuss the costs of climate change, as well as the fiscal and environmental impact of the so-called “Clean Power Plan.”

The Affordable Energy Summit 8.0 has a broad coalition of citizens, policy groups, and political parties. Speakers include Democratic and Republican elected officials, energy policy experts, and members of minority communities that will be hit particularly hard by proposed U.S. Environmental Protection Agency restrictions on conventional energy.

The Affordable Energy Summit 8.0 will take place at the Foundation Room atop the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, simultaneously with U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s Clean Energy Summit 8.0, also at Mandalay Bay.
