campaign at the inaugural 2008 Campaign Shoot off.

Spend an exciting weekend at Front Sight with the Nevada Libertarian Party's 2008 Candidates.

Course Details

Front Sight's 2 Day Defensive Handgun course
is an outstanding entry level course.
No prerequisite is required.

A course at Front Sight will give you skills that far surpass the
vast majority of people who carry a gun for a living. The
teacher-to-student ratio at Front Sight is phenomenal and
allows instruction to be tailored to each individual's level.

Front Sight's unique teaching methods -- proven with tens of thousands of students
from all walks of life - allow you to attend a course even if you've never shot a
gun before... or if you've been shooting for twenty years.
Every student improves dramatically. The courses are recommended
for law enforcement personnel and private citizens alike.

When you arrive at Front Sight you will be treated with the utmost
respect - in a friendly, supportive, and caring manner - by the absolute best
trained, most consistent, and most effective instructional staff in the industry.

Additional Equipment needed:
A pistol of at least 38 caliber,
a holster that encloses the trigger guard,
and 300 Rounds of Ammunition.

Hearing and eye protection is provided free by Front Sight if you do not have your own.
If you prefer, Front Sight will rent you a firearm along with all of the equipment necessary.
Front Sight's rental fee is $50.00 plus the cost of their ammunition.

Upon receipt of your payment we will provide you with a specially marked Front Sight application and character witness statement that will identify you as a 2008 Campaign Shoot-off guest.

2 Day Defensive Handgun:

This outstanding entry level course is for those students who initially do not have the time or funds to take our four day course, but want to get a fast start on their weaponcraft training.

Upon completion of this course you will have a fundamental understanding of the defensive use of the handgun. Among the many skills you acquire will be the ability to safely and easily draw your weapon from the holster and fire two, sighted shots to the center of a target 5 yards away - all under 1.5 seconds! This course more than satisfies gun handling and marksmanship criteria for a Concealed Weapons Permit.

Lecture Topics Include: Use of Deadly Force and the Law; Color Code of Mental Awareness; Stopping Power; Civil Liability; and more. Firing Range Drills Include: Loading and Unloading; Grip, Stance, Sight Picture, Sight Alignment, and Trigger Control; Presentation from Ready and Holster; Target Engagement from Arms Length to 15 yards under Time Pressure; Malfunction Clearing; Speed and Tactical Reloading; Live-Fire Tactical Simulator Introduction; and more.
