Dear fellow Libertarian,

Two hundred thirty years ago, a small dedicated band of patriots turned the tide of world history. For the first time ever, common men declared their inalienable right to live free. Today, many people take freedom for granted. Not me. And, I'm sure not you.

We are part of the second American Revolution.

We live in a country whose laws are being multiplied to the point of tyranny. You and I are proud members of the Libertarian Party, because we want to restore liberty to our country in our lifetimes.

I'm going to do everything I can to secure the blessings of liberty for myself and my posterity.

In fact, I have pledged my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor, to creating a political party that secures liberty in our lifetime..

I'm looking for a band of brothers and sisters to join me. A small band of dedicated patriots willing to reclaim the American Spirit and rebuild the American Dream for ourselves and our posterity.

You are already doing more than most. As a registered Libertarian, you have already proclaimed your dedication to the cause of Liberty. Now, I want you to sign your name so large that King George can read it without his spectacles.

The 1776 Brigade is an elite group of Nevada Libertarians who have put their money where their mouth is. They are not just talking about liberty. They are making it happen.

Your membership in the 1776 Brigade will increase the number of registered Libertarians in our state. And, it will increase the number of Nevada counties with a local Libertarian party.

I just returned from our national convention, in Portland Oregon. Nevada's delegation sat just three rows from the front of the huge convention hall. Delegations are seated in order of their recent growth.

Next convention, with your help, we'll be at the head table - where we belong.

Several lifelong Libertarians from across the country came up to me to congratulate us on our recent growth. I didn't want to tell them, that we haven't even scratched the surface of our potential.

I'm not willing to sit back and let my niece and nephew deal with the problems we failed to solve.

I didn't want to tell them, because we are already doing so much better than most, that I'd appear to be gloating.

I'm not pulling any punches with you.

We are poised for geometric expansion here in Nevada. Before the next election cycle, we will have earned permanent ballot access. We will have an organized local Libertarian Party in at least three additional counties.

By the time you and I head to the next national convention, Nevada will take its rightful place at the head table.

Membership in the 1776 Brigade means you not only care about, but are willing to work to organize, every county in this state. We will organize three more counties before the next state convention, in February 2007.

When Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, and Benjamin Franklin signed the Declaration of Independence, they pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to the cause of liberty.

By signing that historic document, they ensured their own death, if the first American Revolution had been unsuccessful.

But, you'd expect nothing less from people whose battle cry was "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death."

I've given far less than our founding fathers to this fight. It is because so many have already fought and died for our cause that we have the opportunity to achieve liberty peacefully - in our lifetimes.
